What inspired your unique representation of Mickey?
As a graffiti artist, I wanted to place Mickey in a graffiti context. I always felt that Zorro was the first tagger in history. I envisioned Mickey as this early Californian fictional character that is "Wanted for Tagging."

What's your favorite Disney memory?
My favorite Disney memory was going to Disneyland in 1955 (the year it opened) as a child. It was a distant drive to this fantasy island surrounded by an ocean of orange groves.

I usually draw only letters but characters, so I am not good at drawing characters so much. Therefore, I had really hard time to find out the good answer for this assignment. After a great deal of thought, I just came up with the method of filling inside of the border of Mickey with letters. This method brought me a great feeling of the unification of Mickey and myself. I convinced like 'Inside of Mickey is actually like this!'.

When I was still a little kid, the first movie I have seen at the movie theater where I have been brought by my parents was the 'Beauty And the Beast'. I was impressed by that beauty of the animation, so I asked my parents to buy its catalog when we leave the theater.

I cannot tell a specific person who gave me artistic influences. I got influences from all the graffiti writers, other artists, and designers I have ever met in my life. Even Calligraphy and Ukiyoe (Japanese woodblock prints) gave me some impacts for my style.

The BLOCK28 have expanded my possibilities of my expression. I am really glad with the integration of 'my graffiti and Mickey' which brought me a joiful happening and which I have never been expected.
